Whether you’re a husband, wife, boyfriend, daughter, son, father, grandson, grandparent, friend, long-lost cousin, or other, shopping for the ladies in your life can always be difficult. These Parkway small businesses, however, all have several holiday options.
The vintage shop has a little bit for everyone. Salesman Joe Luongo told Patch that those looking to shop for adults may find something that appeals to the giftee for nostalgic reasons, from classic Disney trinkets to pottery that grandma used to have to old type writers.
“The store evokes a lot of memories,” he said. That doesn’t leave out your younger daughters however. Luongo showed costume jewelry and other accessories that young ladies tend to like. Other reasons to shop at Kalembar Dune? Its resale element doesn’t just lead to lower prices – it also makes it more environmentally friendly.
The shop, only on Spring Street for the holidays (its short-term lease expires on Dec. 30), works especially for the fashionistas in your family. “We’re fashion-forward,” said store manager Ashley Boiardi. The prices are also attractive, with the design company’s signature wraps running between $25 and $55, no jewelry priced over $20, and $5 belts, and the shop offers weekly deals through its Facebook page. The top gifts this year, Boiardi says, are the versatile ruana wrap, the blossom scarf, and the faux cashmere sweater. The shop will also host a Men’s Night Out on Thursday, Dec. 15, where you can sip Scotch and check out the shop’s wishbook, where women have been writing down what they might like for the holidays.
