Corey Street Farmers Market to debut in West Roxbury this summer

A farmers market will debut in West Roxbury this summer.

Beginning June 23, the Corey Street Farmers Market will be held every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Temple Hillel B’nai Torah at 120 Corey St., organizers said.

The market is a collaboration between the temple, Theodore Parker Unitarian Universalist Church, West Roxbury Main Streets, and Silverbrook Farm in Dartmouth, which will sell its produce including fruits, vegetables, eggs, cheese and jams.

Organizers of the market said they are working now to register 50 families who would agree to buy products from the farm on a weekly basis throughout the season.

The group of families would form a CSA, or community-supported agriculture, and would buy weekly “shares” of farm produce for a 19-week span.
